What is Beauty? How much is it worth? Should a woman's value depend on it? These are some of the questions Helen, a stay-at-home mother married to an abusive accountant asks herself as she tries desperately to stop the ageing process from robbing her of everything she owns. But there is something wrong. Something no one seems to be admitting to. Not her wild, beautiful daughter, Tamsin, too caught up in her own dramas to notice. Not her little son, Josh, a daddy's boy. Not even her husband, Derek, who comes home late every evening and barely looks at her any more. Isolated and afraid, Helen spirals down in to the depths of self-obsession until one day she awakens and finds herself in a new and terrifying nightmare.
