In the 19th Century, Catherine Jane Lynch has Professor Huerta's "outside child." Professor Huerta was Marie Laveau's husband. Jane marries Johnny Tingle, and they take the Confederate gold she found hidden in a secret tunnel to New Orleans Mint to be melted into coins.
