Laura had always been envious of her older sister, Nina. She had everything that Laura had ever wanted - the looks, the charm, and attention from everyone. Laura was tired of living in her shadow and wanted to prove to everyone, especially to herself, that she was capable of doing something extraordinary.One day, as she was browsing through the internet, Laura stumbled upon an online chat forum. The forum was as mysterious as it was exciting. People from all over the world gathered there to make secret plans, arrange secret deals, and discuss the most bizarre topics that Laura had ever heard of. Laura was hooked. She spent every spare moment online, reading and commenting. She had made friends with some of the more active members but never paid much attention to the anonymous ones. That was until she received a message from someone claiming to be part of a secret society. They wanted to meet her in a secluded part of the city. Laura, always on the lookout for adventure, accepted the invitation. The day of the meeting, Laura was nervous. She had never been to this part of the city, and it was dark and eerie. She was about to turn back, but then she saw someone approaching her. It was a man shrouded in a hooded cloak. To her surprise, he knew her name and led her into an abandoned building. The building looked spooky and abandoned, but inside, Laura found a group of people sitting around a table. They welcomed her and explained the purpose of their society - to help people. Laura was amazed and felt privileged to be part of such a noble group. But then they revealed the catch - to join the society, she had to undergo a test of courage. The test meant that Laura had to spend the night alone in the building without her cell phone or anyone to help her. She wouldn't be allowed to leave the house until dawn. Laura hesitated but then decided to go ahead with the test. That night Laura felt increasingly uncomfortable as the darkness enveloped her. She tried to calm her nerves, but the silence was deafening. Suddenly, the floorboards creaked, and she thought she heard footsteps. Her heart raced as she realized she was not alone in the house...
