Dakota

Director Kurt Harris presents the story of Dakota, an ex-service dog that comes to live with a farm family in his retirement. Kate Sanders (Abbie Cornish) is the widow of a soldier who fought in Afghanistan. Left to raise their daughter Alex (Lola Sultan), operate their farm, and manage the local volunteer fire department by herself, she agrees to take on her husband's canine companion, Dakota. Dakota quickly works her way into everyone's heart, with the exception of the town sheriff. Instead of liking her, he is determined to capture the dog and take the Sanders' farm from them.
