Malik Johnson, a young man, recounts events that happened after he moved to an unnamed city in the U.S. Joining forces with another young, African American man named Claudius, Malik becomes part of terrorizing a city. Confused about an internal anger and what he should do with his life, Malik tells why it was easy for him to fall under Claudius' influence and follow him down a destructive path that would shake an entire city.
