Jean-Pierre Martinez is a French playwright and scriptwriter. He experienced first the stage as a drummer in various rock bands, before to become a semiologist in the field of advertising. He worked afterwards as television scriptwriter, and came back to the stage as a playwright. He wrote 94 comedies. Today he is among the most played contemporaries playwrights in France, and several of his plays have been translated in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
