Cocoon

Cocoon is a fast-paced, compelling, fictional story about growing up, addiction, fame, generosity, and finding our shared humanity. Sydney Manson is a glamorous, chic, successful author who just had a movie made from one of her books by a world-renowned director. She is young, beautiful, successful, and the apple of her handsome and charismatic husband, Gavin's eye. Her lifestyle is the envy of many. She is forced to face the demons of her past, however, when an altercation with a drug-addicted felon named Amber, whose face she knows she's seen before, comes into her life and puts her at risk of losing everything. Cocoon is a fictional novella consisting of 40,000 words and would find a principal audience amongst millennials and those suffering or who have known someone suffering from addiction.
