I have referred to myself as a Gnostic Christian which means, at least in my own mind, someone who is aware of and depends on his soul knowledge for understanding the truth of man’s earthly existence as opposed to blindly accepting various timeworn ideas and interpretations of others regarding the advent of mankind, the meaning and purpose of his material experience, and his final destination.
I have read that a Gnostic cannot be a Christian because each belief system stands alone as an ideology. The two cannot be blended. Well then, I must have created a new ism, come up with my own. If being a Christian means believing that the man Jesus Christ was the only begotten son of God sent to earth to enlighten mankind, then I am definitely a Christian. If believing that Jesus was God come to earth, then Christianity and I must part ways. Can you see my dilemma? At any rate, I consider myself to be a Gnostic Christian.
One thing I do know, I love the nature that God has surrounded us with. If it wasn’t so hot in the summer, and so cold in the winter, if it didn’t rain so much and there were no mosquitoes, I would live outdoors. I do love nature.
I hope you enjoy this small volume of collected prose and poetry. By the way, study the cover carefully and over and over. I wonder if you will, as did I, find some very interesting and puzzling anomalies.
