Clown Alley

Clown Alley is the second book in the Circus Summer series - and it picks up right where Circus Summer leaves off. In Clown Alley, we find Billy dealing with some of the effects of his first summer with the circus. When the crew unpacked the trucks and trailers, it was discovered that the animal trainer is missing. In their quest to find and bring Mr. T home, much is uncovered about the trainer's past, present, and future. To Billy's dismay, he is haunted by the night in the cage with Mr. T. That one night continues to control his thoughts and actions. He must fight hard to untangle himself from that recurring nightmare, before it breaks him. Billy learns that he's not alone in these types of internal struggles. He realizes that adults fight their own personal nightmares and fears. The biggest lesson for all to learn - whether a child or an adult - is that each person must solve his or her own problems through courage and fortitude... and with the support of family and friends.
