Married Dec. 6, 1942 in the tiny Gothic Chapel on Alfred University campus, Kenneth and Laurella Healy awoke the next day to a world at war. Pearl Harbor had been hit, and Ken, wearing blue suspenders as Lolly would recall decades later, told his bride he must go.
