This esoteric Portuguese-French drama follows a devoted nurse from her Portuguese home to the strange Cape Verde islands. Assigned to care for the comatose worker Leao, Mariana returns with him to his Cape Verde village. Here Mariana encounters a series of disturbing characters and is forced to reevaluate her life.
