The Miners strike comes to an end in 1985. Doors to BUBBLES then open to the folk of Ashington. Not knowing what would lie ahead. Entering into a business from the outside looking in, seems rosy. The challenges that need to be overcome and all the problems that would follow. Learning to expect the unexpected. The bar trade is not a nine to five job, it is a totally different way of life and not for the faint hearted. It has brought both happiness and sadness. Just a local lad on a budget with big dreams and high hopes, through sheer grit and determination managed to reach success.
