I was a junior in college and really wanted to meet my childhood hero, Brother John. Going to a local catholic summer camp where I was ridiculed and teased made me hate summer breaks in 1992. Brother John was in his mid twenties, a camp counselor and was the only one who stuck up for me, and made me feel normal. This is the short fictional story of meeting Brother John, as a woman, 10 years later, in 2002.
