Brett Barker is Jerome Barker's, of the Clearance Clairvoyant series, equally gifted and psychic nephew. He is now twenty-four-years-old and at university studying for his doctorate in Psychology. Unlike his uncle, Brett chooses not to utilise his unique ability by working as a clairvoyant. Instead he has formed a paranormal society of fellow students. Armed with their own jaw-dropping supernatural gifts, together they investigate cases of hauntings and other-worldly activity, mainly for personal interest. Hybird Asylum is named after the man who built it in 1836 the crumbling sinister building, abandoned for some years is still home to most of the tormented inmates it has housed over the years. Only now they are the ghosts of the people that once were. The Burning question is: when the lives of a group of hedonist students collides with a building of malevolent manifestations, will they all emerge unscathed?
