Kimolijah Adani, genius gridTech and engineer, was set to change the world with an impossible train powered by gridstream locked in a crystal. Instead, he ended up dead. Directorate Tracker Bas Eisen has finally found a way to run Kimolijah's killer to ground. It's taken him nearly three years of played-out leads, and it means he has to go deep undercover as a hired gun, in an isolated desert barony run by a madman. A small price to pay-or so Bas thinks.
