Blaze [Blu-ray] in Bloomington, MN

Directed by Del Kathryn Barton, this Australian crime drama unfolds through the eyes of Blaze (Julia Savage), an imaginative twelve-year-old who sees fantasy elements around her. She has an imaginary friend named Zephyr, a dragon. However, her lively imaginations soon turn dark and creepy when Blaze witnesses a crime. She sees a woman being assaulted and later killed, and Blaze is paralyzed with fear by what she witnessed. What follows is how a young mind like hers tries to deal with and grapple with the trauma left by this violent episode. The film co-stars Simon Baker and Yael Stone.
