Blast of Fire

It was Benny's interactions with dragons, back when he was a teenage delinquent, which awakened his psychic abilities, but now the dragons are ailing and Benny wants only to help them. He instead finds himself in the middle of a battle between two violent groups. One is a racist hate group, the other an anti-racist group. As far as Benny can tell, they're both intent on exploiting the magic inherent in dragons to alter the future of a very troubled society. Benny, however, has come into possession of his own secret weapon . . . but the risk is madness, or death. Maybe his crazy psychic friends were right: If he wants to become a real psychic, he's going to have to forsake the rules of society and turn to the streets. Blast of Fire is a gritty, exciting mix of fantasy and realism, with a decidedly noirish slant.
