Samuel grew to be like the company he kept, which is a great lesson for children from 1 Samuel 1 & 2 in choosing friends wisely. We then move on to 1 Samuel 16 and David and Goliath, and we see that as with Gideon, God chooses the small things to show his might and glory. Solomon's than riches. And Job provides great lessons in how things can go badly for a while, but God comes to our rescue. For example, you might need to grab a big spoon) (Including our much loved "teaching script" that tells you exactly what to say!) (we put the scripture reading in the lesson, to make it easy!) (Kids LOVE games, each game teaches an important element of the overall lesson and lets the kids get up out of their seat and move around. Typically one game is geared to young children 4-7 and another for the 8-12 year olds) (These activities get the kids engaged in the lesson and help to fill the time as kids trickle in.) (These activities vary from object lessons, crafts, treasure hunts, and more) (Our closing prayers are each designed to leave the kids with a positive message and reminder of the lesson). The lessons are designed to run for one hour, but can easily be expanded to cover more time if needed. The lessons include age-appropriate activities, discussion, and questions for children ages 4-12. Equally effective with mixed age groups or single age classes. Each lesson was designed to be taught after only 5-10 minutes of prep time. You don't need to go around collecting craft materials or spending an hour before class getting organized. You can literally "glance & go". Our lessons can be used by churches of all denominations, as the topics covered are truly the foundation of Christian faith. In addition, any Bible translation can be used.
