This reprint completely OCR's the original 1905 translation of the Bhagavad-Gita by Annie Besant and Bhagavan Das, removing the occasionally unreadable text noted in an Amazon.com review of the Theosophical Society's reprint. The pdf copies at many universities likewise have image-pages that are frequently smudged, have overset-text or extraneous marks across the pages. In this reprint I have meticulously reset every page including both Sanskrit and English text.
As Editor I have also taken the liberty of adding chapter headings to each page; this includes the Appendix and Index. Likewise I have included at the end of this book an extract of Paramahansa Yoganandaji's encomium to Mrs. Besant published in December 1933 in appreciation of her life and mission. She died in September 1933 at the age of 87.
