Recruited by Major Winters and his mentor, "The General," Jamal Muhammad is one of ten American agents whose mission is ruthless by American standards, and could only be conceived in a post 9/11 world. Following the invasion of Iraq in 2003, he is sent into the war zone as a sleeper agent. His mandate-infiltrate al Qaeda by any means necessary. Jamal faces threats from all sides while trying to stay committed to his faith and adopted country. He even finds love in the brutal war.
