After receiving a mysterious letter from a local celebrity, Charlotte Bardot (an investigate author) gets a strange feeling that she can't seem to kick. The sender is a former teacher who gained notoriety after he was left for dead on the side of the highway. Now with one person in prison for that crime and another who can't leave her house, Charlotte realizes that there is something deeper going on.
