The text investigates the effects of two very important communicative levers in the field of behavioural economics, Social Proof and Framing, on the propensity of Italian citizens to respect rules and public policies with reference to the COVID-19 phenomenon. The different communication levers are combined in different communication messages, which are then tested. The discussion is carried out on the basis of data obtained through a questionnaire and uses linear regression statistical models as a tool for data analysis. The final objective is to identify the combination of Framing and Social Proof, and therefore the most effective communication message in convincing citizens to comply with the rules dictated by the Government.
