Beautiful Imperfections Shaquan, The Beautiful Butterfly in Bloomington, MN

Shaquan doesn't know much about the colorful world around her. She was born without the ability to see color and has never felt beautiful because of her disability. All her life feeling unappreciated and unworthy, she sought out on an adventure, seeking your help to provide her with colors of your choice in hopes of being accepted and feeling beautiful within. As Shaquan travels the land, she comes across many different animals and becomes interested in learning more about their natural colors. However, these encounters cause Shaquan to become overwhelmed with anguish because there was no hope for her to ever see the world around her in color. In the end, Shaquan encountered a butterfly named Saniyah, who was born with a disability of her own but all Shaquan saw was a beautiful butterfly before her. Shaquan learns that although Saniyah suffered the same mental and emotional anguish as her for being born different, she overcame her difficult experiences by learning to embrace her beautiful imperfections.
