Baja Journey: A Memoir

Baja Journey begins with a hitchhiking trip through 1967 Baja before there was a paved road. It is followed by an odyssey through Mexico, the beatnik era in San Francisco, the casinos of Las Vegas, the deserts of the Southwest, the streets of New York and New Orleans. It includes dramatic and numerous adventures such as surviving a flash flood, capturing a wild donkey, lettering billboards in a baseball stadium Tepic, building a houseboat from scrap wood, traveling the Mississippi River and starting a group called the Salvation Navy. In this story of travelers who are not tourists, an inner journey parallels an outer one producing invaluable self discovery and transformation.
