Awaken

When the world as it was known is destroyed by a darkness that has finally descended, a man is found in a delicate position he doesn't think himself ready for. He has lost a great deal, but he must bring solace to his given assignment-people as wounded as him. The only thing they all have left is hope in promises made by the good One dwelling above. A new day and place is ahead, the Almighty has promised, but is "hope" able to stand firm in the face of trials along the way? What does it take to break a doubting leader further, even if his hope also lies in the strong love he has for a woman? What price must be paid to turn "hope" into an actual world rid of the darkness that once consumed it?
