Based on the true story of a young lesbian who fled Uganda to escape death at the hands of her own family, Asylum reveals the treacherous landscape where human rights, women's rights and gay rights intersect and the consequence of not aligning is death. Asylum won the Audience Choice Award at the Downtown Urban Theater Festival (NYC 2012), and was runner-up for best play.
