As The Seas Turn Red is both a love letter to the sea and a clarion call for its current state. The poems in this nautical-themed collection encompass a variety of topics: shipwrecks, ghosts, mermaids, sea gods, phantom ships, whales, and environmental issues, as well as man's connection to the ocean.
