Bonnie grew up listening to her grandfather speak wistfully of the Amish life. Even in his old age, he spoke fondly of his time there despite the fact that he was shunned. Now with his ashes in her hand, she knew what she had to do.
All he ever wanted was to go home to Plain City, she remembered and suddenly, Bonnie knew exactly where she was going. She was going to take her grandfather home.
