Annie's Enviable Position: The Dhampire. Vol. I in Bloomington, MN

This is a book about three generations of vampire vigilatnes, dhampires. Dhampires are vampires whose blood was tainted by Russian dhampirs, degenerate half-man half-vampire creatures given to infesting humans and watching them die in heinous ways. Like vampires, these dhampires are immortal. Moreover, they can fly through time and space when they receive memory calls, and of course, when their vigilante assignments dictate. Annie, the book's namesake, is the youngest of the three, with the problems and mindset of a teenager, by dhampire standards. Annie's seeking to figure out if her immortality has to be forlorn or whether her unrequited love is temporary. Miriam, her dead grandmother, worries for her from beneath the grave. Annie's mother, Vio, is a vigilante stuck in a Mobius-like time loop stretching one year, 1909 Paris.
