...AND THERE I WAS; a pilot's memoir

This is a story about a young boy's dream of becoming a pilot. Growing up in the depression years the chance of realizing that dream was next to impossible. The onset of World War II, and on into the Korean conflict changed that scenario. Our country needed pilots. A visible path to achieving the dream lay open and eventually the dream was achieved.
