Amara, a 17-year-old half-elf, has lived on her peaceful, remote island of Teldesan for as long as she can remember. But now she's been accepted into the Academy - a prestigious school for magic and academics in the capital city of the Federation - and is thrown into the real world. Helplessness and fear clash with an urge to act as she starts realizing the world isn't as simple as she thought.
