An Alaskan Love Affair: A Legend of Gold, True and Adventure

Two California adventurers, fresh out of college in 1970, move to Alaska to chase after their dreams. One wants to be a wildlife photographer, the other wants to be an Alaskan bush pilot. After a lot of Alaskan adventure they get involved with a legend and recovery of lost gold that ends in a bloody shootout - The legend says the US was in process of paying the Russians with 6,000,000 in gold bars, to help us fight Japan, but the cargo plane that was carrying the gold went down on the Alaska/Canada border, days before the attack on Pearl Harbor, never to be seen again. The audience is left to wonder if Tanner McKenzie, our protagonist, is more in love with Alaska, the Gold or his beautiful and talented wife. A little about me: I'm a 65-year-old white male, somewhat of an adventurer, I moved to Alaska in 1976 and lived there for fifteen years, now I reside in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. The story has a lot of similarity to my own encounters but I also spew some creative liberties. This book is originally a screenplay by the same name. The purpose of me turning the screenplay into a book, is because it has a great story being pushed to a chilling conclusion – a totally made up legion, a true and lasting love story and a good amount of Alaskan adventure, it has great content and adventure that young people probably won't get to experience but should not be lost to time, and it would make a great movie. But, trying to find a producer to read the screenplay is a process that comes with a ton of competition by scores of screenwriters. So, publishing a book is the next best thing and something I have experience with.
