When a hummingbird appears, it is said to bring love, thoughts or words left unsaid — a quiet sign that those who have passed are still present. During Día de Muertos, remembrance is filled with color and scent. Altars are covered with flowers chosen not only for their beauty, but for their fragrance — meant to guide, welcome and honor returning souls.
