Alice and the Golden Egg

Yesterday, Alice Andersson was just a normal teen: her biggest problems were getting through school, navigating teenage relationships, and trying to keep herself from constantly losing her temper at the universe after her mom ditches out on her and her dad. But when she discovers a magical creature in her garden - a fairy who literally dissolves in her hands, leaving behind a golden egg that is the key to all the world's magic - everything changes. Now, Alice is in a race to save the world. She has only three days - to save her father from a curse, bring a golden egg to an enchanted tree a thousand miles away, and keep the world's magic from dying - and she has to do it all with her father's (ugh!) in tow. Misshapen dragons, troll bankers, undersized giants, and - perhaps most dangerous of all - the horror of parental relationships. It's enough to stop any normal teen in their tracks. But Alice isn't just any teen. For she is the keeper of the mythical Yggdrasil, and only she can save the world, save her father, and maybe - just maybe - learn to keep her temper along the way.
