Alfred is now King of the Westfold and Gorbogal the Witch has focused her eye on his little kingdom. With too few knights, a decrepit Keep, what is a boy king to do? Alfred magically teleports back to home to be with his mother and learn more about the Dark Ages and medieval society, including how they mined. While Alfred is away, much has changed in the Westfold. Upon his return, he uncovers the devious plans of the Telehistine Merchants. His knights have lost faith, the girl archers and spear boys have been disbanded, and the new trade deal with the greedy Telehistine Merchants has left his kingdom weaker! And if that wasn't bad enough, Gorbogal has begun her plans of invasion by a mightier force than before!
