My brittle bones impair And peel against my battle torn skin As I sulk my way towards The turbulent cry of the bell tower. The grotesque structure Stands in vain, Waiting for my final arrival, As the death knell tolls its first chime. Midge Marie has been writing poetry for over fifteen years. She published her first book, Poet in the Corner, last year at the age of 21. Afterlife includes over thirty poems and the short story All Hallow's Eve. She hopes to publish again soon.
