Abide in Jesus Christ: Poems

I read two poetry books, "Gardens of the Beloved" by Rumi and also "Love Poems from God" by Daniel Ladinsky. These books were my inspiration to address Jesus directly as a beloved. My third book, "Abide in Jesus Christ," is a collection of my reflections about my unfolding love for Jesus Christ. Wise people say poetry is spiritual food for the pure soul because the words reveal the desires of your inmost heart. Sometimes poetry awakens your soul to the voice which is hidden in your soul but needs a moment to become alive. This experience of coming alive describes the author's personal relationship with Jesus Christ in the silence of her heart and the depth of her being. She felt deep down in her soul the presence of Jesus speaking heart to heart with her. There were times in her daily meditation when she experienced Jesus directly working through her like breath breathed in the heart as a source of existence. She finds new awareness that the I and thou personalities become transfigured from two persons to one. Every day of contemplation was a day of knowing better the Beloved's personality and His teaching and His inner voice, which kept saying: "Abide in me and I will abide in you." These words of Jesus come from the Gospel of Saint John. My book is an extensive conversation between me, the lover, and Jesus, the Beloved, with the Holy Spirit breathing His inspiration in my writing. The author found herself each moment of her day in contemplating on Jesus Christ and Jesus contemplating on her. She saw her human nature transformed into the incarnation of the love of Jesus. It is the author's fervent hope that the reader, too, will fall in love with Jesus Christ and become transformed.
