A Scream in the Night

On a hot and unbearable summer night in rural West Virginia, a terrible scream breaks the silence. No one in the community knows what to make of it until a pool of blood is found and all that remains of the young victim soon after. What is it that hunts the night? Why won't the police tell them what they know? And how will anyone stop it?
