A Mile of Dreams

Joe Mitchell spends his off-school hours toiling on the dairy farm of his parents, George and Ruth. A chance at love with Annie Jensen propels Joe to join his high school track team, threatening George's ability to keep the farm afloat. George acquiesces in the hopes of saving his fragile marriage. Joe excels at running, and the Mitchell's happiness becomes linked to Joe's success. A series of events, plus Mark Perkins, the team's star miler and Annie's former boyfriend, jeopardize Joe's dream of winning the conference mile run and requires the Mitchell family to discover the true meaning of sacrifice, forgiveness and love.
