Fitzwilliam Darcy, encouraged by the loving glances he and Elizabeth Bennet shared while at Pemberley, decides to ask her to marry him again. With his expectations of receiving a positive reply high, he sets off for the inn at Lambton, where Elizabeth is staying with her Aunt and Uncle Gardiner.
