A Lady of Quality is a novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett that was the second highest best-selling book in the United States in 1896. It was the first of a series of successful historical novels by Burnett. A Lady of Quality is a novel about the invincibility of the human spirit, the refusal of a woman to be mild and submissive, the acceptance of all experience, and courage born of adversity.
