Camp Dennison, Ohio, was the temporary home of the Seventh Ohio Volunteers. Many of them wrote letters to the local newspapers to spread the word to the people back home of their continued commitment to the Union cause. Friends and relatives of the soldiers also contributed their letters to the newspapers.
