The investigation goes to confirm that most of the time; public officers often pay lip service to projects that are meant to improve lives of its citizens and boost industrial development. 2. Growing Trend of Child Violence: 'A Rising Scourge'The story was published on the backdrop of the fact that, 50% of Nigerian children go through violent experiences according to a survey by UNICEF. 3. Otodo Gbame: 'A Wound Refusing to Heal Years After'The story captures the plight of over 4,000 rendered homeless after their waterfront community was demolished on April 9, by men of the Lagos State Task Force and the police reportedly on the orders of the then Lagos State governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode and state's commissioner for the environment.This investigative project by Ripples Nigeria was conducted in partnership with the Ripples Centre for Data and Investigative Journalism.
