A City of Stone

The city of Chicago is rising from the ashes of the Great Fire, and Kasimir Merriweather is struggling to bring a killer to justice. But Kasimir also has a secret life that he lives out in his sleep. You see, Kasimir can talk to ghosts. Now, the ghosts who haunt his sleep come to him with a warning. A clever killer, they say, will try to persuade others that someone else is guilty of his crimes. Soon is becomes clear to Kasimir who the intended scapegoat is going to be: Gideon Harper, a man with a secret life of his own...and Kasimir has very personal reasons to want to save him from the hangman's noose.
