A Blue Day by Quivander Jiminez is a children's story about a dog named Blue and how much joy he brought to a family. He was a gift. Then he gave the gift of joy to his family and other families! Dogs can be life savers. When you are lonely, scared and even sick they can be a loving comfort! They can sense when danger is near and protect you or just be a companion to comfort when you need it.
Sometimes they can be a huge responsibility because of the time and care that is involved in having a pet.
Owning a pet is a great way to teach your children love and responsibility. Separation is hard and sometimes unavoidable not only for humans but for animals as well so we must prepare for it! But I can say from experience that it is worth it.
