A Birdman's Prey

Merlie is a young girl who becomes a birdman's prey and will be hunted down the rest of her life. A woman who can restore health and an ancient plant with special powers try to help her escape this curse. A yellow-bellied screech ball also becomes part of her life and helps her to cope. Their biggest problem happens when a birdman comes to live in their forest.
