One of the best of Mexico's new breed of "technobandas," Banda Machos have mastered the art of corridos, rancheras, and cumbias, but their 2006 Grammy-nominated release also dazzles when it goes off the menu. The catchy "Se Tambalen" has all the snap and bounce of today's best reggaeton, while "Cuando Fuiste Mia" mines traditional power-ballad territory, with romantic lyrics and a beautifully impassioned vocal delivery.
