Excerpt from 1923 Techennial
About this time he was offered a position in_ the Toledo schools, and feeling that the call of the teaching profession was stronger than that of the Law, he accepted, and became the Principal of the Ironville School. He served here until the fall of 1913 when he was transferred to the newly organized Woodward Manual Training School. Thus Mr. Hunt became one of the Pioneers in the founding and the developing of the great organization that is loved, honored, and respected under the name of Woodward.
His influence at Woodward has always been of the finest and noblest. His unfailing good humor, his keenness of wit and practical common sense have been an inexhaustible source of satisfaction and pleasure to the students that come to really know him.
The boys and girls of Woodward who have been in his classes know that he taught them more than books; his is a teaching finer than anything of that nature.
