This is a fiction based on facts biography and autobiography combined. Looking at the lives of 2 families who were born and still living in Yorkshire England, the book is packed full with humour, with joy and with a degree of turmoil within the families. The story begins in the late 1960s. Main characters, Frankie Chigozie and Helen Jones are both there from the beginning. Frankie and Helen became childhood friends who have many things in common. Introducing new people into their lives has been part of their experience. Both experiencing a tough upbringing in a kids home wasn't the best start in life. As children and as adults those women had a determination which would be the envy of many. Achieving what they desired in life was important to them both. Frankie has been faced with many challenges such as parents who were addicts, becoming an orphan, racism and discrimination, plus a lack of honesty from others. The need for honesty at all costs being the hardest of those challenges to deal with- Frankie and Helen had decisions to make. Would they decide to try to overcome the challenge or would they make the decision that once a liar always a liar?
