I am Special is a story about a high school, autistic boy, Alex, where he shares the challenges, he faced while growing up. A person reading this book may find one or some of the symptoms that he could identify with. Alex describes how he was able to overcome some of the obstacles, how he gained skills and build confidence which enabled him to cope with new hurdles to get closer to social norms' expectations and to reach his academic potential. Focusing on his interests, he became philosophical, contemplating about universe, opening new vistas of the world we live in.
